- Keep in mind that the frosting will warm up, and I think the petals drooped a little bit more than my liking.
-Don't try a color that you have to create. After a few calls to friends to confirm that red and blue does indeed make purple, I was only able to come up with this lavender that turned more mauve with the addition of the white. Not my taste. Next time I would stick to just a yellow or pink.
-My poor girl got sick on the frosting within a few hours. To make a flower requires a lot of frosting! I think we may be doing birthday pies in the future. Or maybe a cake with a glaze.
Jeff and I had fun creating them and I love that springtime has all these girly colors. I found the 24 cupcake liners and picks at Target for only $1.99.
(pre- sugar sickness) Actually, the poor thing had had a slight temperature that morning and was completely congested.
I have been searching for months for a good doll and finally found one on Etsy- a redhead nonetheless! Mad loves her little Suzy.
Mom gave her a baby doll crib from her childhood. She shared it with her twin sister, it was then passed down to my cousins, and now to Mad. She'll keep it until the next little girl comes along in the Carson clan!
Mom blew us away with the little details. She made a sheet and pillow, and then recreated Mad's quilt in a doll size. Mad hasn't quite figured out that the crib isn't for her, but maybe she's practicing co-sleeping? No matter what- she loves it!
