Down will come baby...

So, I walked into Madeline's room about 15 minutes after laying her down for a nap. She generally goes down with a few squeaks and then settles in. I love seeing her asleep, so imagine my surprise when I see her looking back at me on her knees while pulling up on her crib. If she had gotten to her feet she could have leapt over and out. Then she starts giggling. I couldn't help but laugh, and tried to hurry her back to sleep, while I'm giggling too! I came back a few minutes later, camera in hand, to try and catch her in the act, but we both got too tickled to recreate it. Needless to say, the crib got lowered another notch this evening.

Allyson came into town for the first time since moving this summer. She and Maddie busily mugged for the camera while I snapped away. Wish you were still here!

What an elegant chapeau!

Finally! The hat is finished and no longer hangs over my head, but now sits atop Maddie's! Jeff gave me the gift of some uninterrupted time yesterday and I was able to conquer my fear of the dreaded double pointed needles and complete this little happy. It is simple and has inspired me to do many more, but at this rate..... ah, who cares! It's just fun to create something out of nothing.
